Debido a su historia y riqueza, Potos\u00ed durante el Siglo XVIII fue una de las ciudades m\u00e1s grandes y pobladas del mundo. La ciudad se estableci\u00f3 estrat\u00e9gicamente en la parte inferior de una monta\u00f1a que conten\u00eda una enorme reserva de plata la cual proporcion\u00f3 una incalculable fortuna a la Colonia Espa\u00f1ola, aunque cobr\u00f3 innumerables vidas de esclavos ind\u00edgenas.
