Abaroa National reserve

Located south of the Uyuni Salt Flat. Bordering with the north of Chile and Argentina this area features some of the world most bizarre landscapes. Color lagoons, huge colonies of nesting flamingos, strange rock formations, giant volcanoes, hot springs and fumaroles.

In general, the area is dominated by a product of a volcanic landscape with acid lava solidified, fumarolic activity with sulfur gases and water vapor from volcanoes; magmatic activity still exists. A landscape that takes back to the time of the formations of the earth.
