SPECIAL INTEREST
Cattle Breeding
Most of the cattle breeding in Bolivia takes place in the Beni and Santa Cruz regions. Jesuits introduced cattle in 1675. Nelore is the most common breed in Bolivia; it was developed in Brazil from the Ongole, a breed from India. It is the favorite breed in the tropical parts of South America because of its resistance to insect bites. Ranching in Bolivia has grown from simple farms to a multimillion-dollar industry. We offer visits to relevant cattle breeding farms.
