SPECIAL INTEREST
High Altitude Wineries and Typical Liqueurs
The highest wineries in the world are here. The Tarija region, a valley in the south of Bolivia that borders with Argentina at 1700 m.a.s.l. is the ideal region for wine- making. Some
wineries purchase grapes from as high as 2800 meters. The altitude and the climate make the harvest quite unique and as the grapes are in contact with more sun because of the altitude, they have more flavors and the aroma is highly concentrated. The programs include the visit to the main 4 wine producers: La Concepcion, Campos de Solana, Kohlberg and San Pedro.
Location: Tarija and Sucre valleys
Duration: 2 to 3 days
